Job Summary
The R&D Manager works with Customers, Sales, and other stakeholders to develop new and innovative food products that can be manufactured by EMPWR USA inc.
Responsibilities
Supports Food Scientists and R&D Technicians on projects.
Ensures existing products are well-documented for production.
Maintains and updates product and ingredient databases.
Protects intellectual property through confidentiality policies.
Stays current on industry trends through education and networking.
Supports manufacturing during new product startups.
Assists production in improving efficiency and reducing waste.
Helps Supply Chain identify and evaluate cost-effective suppliers.
Works with Quality and Manufacturing to establish Bar Profiles for product launches.
Provides R&D with customer complaint feedback.
What you Bring
BS/MS in Food Science or related field with 5+ years in senior management within the nutritional supplement, pharmaceutical, or food industries.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, across all levels of the company.
Effective decision-making, prioritization, and ability to identify paperwork deficiencies.
Provides professional guidance to senior management while maintaining composure.
Confident and assertive, capable of supporting tough decisions amid conflicting viewpoints.
Problem-solving skills in complex, non-standard situations.
Deep technical expertise in manufacturing and packaging processes.
